Rorschach
I just tidied up the grammar on that last drunken post I made. The show went pretty well all the way. Installation was smooth- I ate biscuits, Julian corrected any wayward geometry and Kev became increasingly concerned about a badly buzzing striplight. It opened on Wednesday night and there was a pretty good turn out. Highlight of the night was seeing Jammy Lauschmann-Wilkes having his hand eaten by a half-cut ‘uncle’ Julian. Then, in accordance with tradition, I ended up at Mono until it was time to go home.
I went to Jim‘s studio on thursday for a gang meeting with him and Danny. After much deliberation we decided that we need to buy more records and lots of Sellotape.
Then on friday, I had to invigilate the show. So I sat and played Gameboy all day. It has to be said though, Kev was right about the striplight.
Last night I went to the cinema to see The Last Samurai. There was some slight hot dog confusion on the way in which resulted in me inadvertently not paying for my pick ‘n mix. Which was good and bad. Good because it weighed a ton and would have cost a fortune and bad because I kept freaking out about getting busted until I remembered that I was in a cinema and it’s normal for people to come in and stand and scan the rows of seats. Because they’re looking for an empty seat, not pick ‘n mix thieves.
The film was okay but judging by the trailer, it won’t be half as good as Beat Takeshi’s new film Zatoichi.
Today I have been ‘curating’ some drawings that may well end up forming part of the artwork on the forthcoming Park Attack cd. They are by an artist I know, and are hilariously bad.
Then I became overcome by an interminable boredom and found myself surfing the net aimlessly. Until I came across some cranky pop psychology site and immediately launched myself into a barrage of hokey personality tests with amazing, life-changing results…
Rorschach Inkblot Test:
Gregor, your subconscious mind is driven most by Curiosity…It is possible that the underlying reason for your drive towards curiosity is a deeply rooted fear of boredom.
All I saw was a frog, some demons and a man in a tuxedo being shot.
