Who The Hell Is Michelle?

A good question- thank you for asking. The short answer is, we don't know- that's why the Michelle Emblem Artistic Trust exists. The long answer is...

Michelle Emblem is a mysterious artist of unknown origin. It is possible she was active back in the sixties or seventies when she produced her most famous body of work- the two pictures now referred to as the nymph series- Rose Nymph and Poppy Nymph. Her later work, Marsh Winds and Poppies are generally considered to be inferior to her nymph period. As are the penguin sculptures she made for the Franklin Mint.

She also seems to have co-illustrated (with John Barber) the Sue Swallow book Shells: Younger Spotter's Guides Series (ISBN:0860203735).
