The board at Central Station often says the train leaves from Platform 6, and then it doesn’t. It leaves from another platform. If you don’t treat the board with suspicion, your naivety is rewarded with a journey to the wrong destination.

The 66 bus often fails to visit all of the advertised stops. The driver alerts you to this fact by announcing ‘I’m only going as far as Hope Street’. He does this one stop before Hope Street.
