Rabbits In A Hat
Went to the gig in the Paradise studios on Friday which was good. The Park Attack played but the electricity kept going halfway through songs. Later on Rob said it was because Tom kept getting all excited and jumping up and down on the switch. Ha. Ghost Valley One rocked as usual. And I got my system disks back from Jamie. Seven months later, not bad for a stoner. Also met Esther for the first time which was really cool. She and Paul looked like some kind of nuts 50s couple.
Then on Sunday it was Laurie’s Transmo leaving do. He has now left the committee. Boo. We had a nice meal and gave him on of those Russian hats which was made out of real rabbits, slightly too small and moulting, Kate made an amazing card and Charlie gave him a drawing. I gave him a Cerebus The Aardvark book because I would quite often rant at him about how good it is. Then we went for some drinks and Kate was really funny because she guzzled booze and went mad on pub magic. The Transmission treasurer learning how to make coins disappear. Must phone the Scottish Arts Council as soon as possible.
And Trish is coming up tomorrow!!! Need to tidy up a bit. Or blame everything on Rob.
Website Stuff: Just a few tweaks really- changed the structure slightly, more stuff is hidden, fixed the corrupt downloadable files. And now the virus is live. That sort of thing.

Nicotine Is My Friend
*A colourless, poisonous alkaloid, C10H14N2, derived from the tobacco plant and used as an insecticide. It is the substance in tobacco to which smokers can become addicted.*
Good day today. Got a nice bonus in the early morning. Was chauffeur driven to the Chateaux by Bob (the baker’s son) and the Ferdinand team. Made an easy fifty quid while they drank champagne with Sony or something. Ate two apples. Did a lot of walking. Had a Transmo meeting which I turned up late for. (I was pushing the envelope of urban walking). Which was also good. I am currently excited for no reason. !
My favourite colours (In order of appearance)
Blue
(Green)
Yellow
Black
Red
Just got (in the last few minutes) –
The hiccups.
A series of nice posters by the Churminator.
Better quit while I’m ahead.

Pretty much settled on a structure for my website. Everything is in place. The main page can be changed to any number of ones at random. (Click ‘Mutate This Page’ repeatedly to see this in action). The scripts are all running perfectly, the cgi-bin is working like a dream, the permissions are set and a damn fine use of robots exclusion protocol means that – get this – I’m ranking first place in Google, Yahoo and Hotbot for my index page. One week after submission! Not bad at all.

Let’s Lynch The Landlord
I’m in the process of getting kicked out of my flat at the moment. The landlady phoned the other day to say she’s going on holiday on 20th August and she wants us out by then. She also said that I have to tidy my room because she was showing people my room and she said it was a ‘disgusting mess’. I pointed out that only an idiot would be disgusted by books and records. A room full of burnt hair, damp polythene and sawdust would be closer to disgusting. Maybe she’s just easily disgusted.
Doreen Reid is a thoroughly offensive old bitch with absolutely nothing to recommend her as a person. She rented us the flat because it had been her sister’s who died. Well just wait until I get on the ouija board Doreen.
Other Interesting Landlords
George Proctor – A burly skinhead of an Irishman who mysteriously insisted on pluralising my name at all times…”Ah hello Gregors I’m here for the rent”. He also threatened to set his rottweiler on me and/or beat me up when I told him my housing giro hadn’t arrived. He knew someone on the inside at the housing plus I was sitting playing a brand new Playstation (RRP – One months rent).
‘Funniest’ flat moment: The bathroom door inexplicably being stuck half open (because the ceiling had caved in on top of it). The problem was revealed by me charging the door and having the ceiling cave in further ie. on top of me.
Stevie – The ex-boxer with the twitch. Not a nervous twitch, the type of twitch you get from having your face punched for a living.
Biggest threat: “Gregor you’re a nice guy but…”. It was largely carried in his manner and tone of voice. Suddenly the fact we both supported Celtic didn’t matter. And the fact that a bottle of tequila and a Bad Brains album had made me wreck my room did.

Stop Mithering Me
I’m in the gallery today for the second day in a row. I swapped with Nick‘s day yesterday because I skipped my day last week. I was also supposed to come in and help paint the floor but I had to decline on the basis of my hangover being so evil the fumes might have killed me. Managed to get out in the sun the last few days. Just lying about in the park reading and absorbing vitamin d was pretty good. Apart from that I feel pretty crap. Everything is a bit up in the air at the moment. I feel drained mentally and physically. I’m not sleeping well which makes me grouchy and unable to think straight, we’re in the process of getting hustled out of the flat by the landlady who is a miserable old goat and I’m still accumulating negative amounts of £. Mumble-groan-complain. But things are okay really. I’m crossing my fingers on getting a nice wee flat, I can’t wait to get back into the studio and somehow or other the £ will work out. (Don’t know how but it always does). Must do the following – Stop smoking, get more exercise, shit in the kettle before leaving the flat.
*end of moan*

Drunken Logic
I’ve got a bad hangover today. I completely failed to get in and open the gallery. But Laurie had my keys anyway so I can blame him.
I left the flat yesterday for the first time in a few days. I made it as far as Stereo where I stayed for a lock-in and got fucked up. Towards the end it was hard work to keep my eyes in focus. I came home and found Rob trying to watch the end of a film that he was really into but Rich had interrupted. So I interrupted him again drunkenly. Then I went to get something to eat and found that the cheese I had bought from Costcutters earlier in the day had gone bad. The packet was all inflated and the cheese had changed colour. This made me take off my shoes and throw them at the television.
Churminator’s in a good mood all the time at the moment. Which is good. The fucker must be up to something.
